Epstein's Escape Plan Revealed!

February 16, 2026

Newly unsealed documents have shed light on what investigators believe was a meticulously crafted escape plan devised by Jeffrey Epstein in the months leading up to his arrest in July 2019. According to records obtained from federal filings, Epstein had been quietly moving assets, establishing foreign accounts, and arranging logistics for a potential flight from the United States long before authorities closed in.

Hidden Accounts and Offshore Transfers

Financial records reveal that Epstein funneled tens of millions of dollars into offshore shell companies across multiple jurisdictions, including the British Virgin Islands, Luxembourg, and Singapore. These transfers accelerated dramatically in early 2019, with over $40 million moved in a span of just three months. Investigators believe the funds were intended to finance a life on the run, with enough liquidity spread across untraceable accounts to sustain him indefinitely.

Several of these accounts were linked to newly created entities with no apparent business purpose. One such entity, registered in the British Virgin Islands under the name “Butterfly Holdings Ltd.,” received a single wire transfer of $15.6 million just weeks before Epstein's arrest. The company had no employees, no office, and no prior transaction history.

The Passport and False Identity

When federal agents raided Epstein's Manhattan townhouse in July 2019, they discovered a locked safe containing an Austrian passport bearing Epstein's photograph but issued under a different name. The passport listed a residence in Saudi Arabia and had stamps from several countries. Prosecutors later argued this was direct evidence of Epstein's flight risk, a claim that contributed to his being denied bail.

Additional documents suggest that Epstein had explored obtaining citizenship in countries with no extradition treaty with the United States. Correspondence recovered from his devices indicated contact with intermediaries in multiple nations, including offers of “investment visas” and residency-by-investment programs.

Private Aviation and Escape Routes

Flight logs and communications obtained by investigators paint a picture of a man preparing for rapid departure. Epstein's aviation team had been directed to ensure that at least one of his aircraft was fueled and ready for departure at all times from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey. Pilots were reportedly told to be on standby for “short-notice international flights” without being given specific destinations.

Investigators also discovered that Epstein had explored the purchase of a small submarine capable of reaching international waters. While it remains unclear whether this purchase was ever completed, the inquiry alone speaks to the lengths Epstein was prepared to go to avoid prosecution.

The Inner Circle's Role

Court filings suggest that members of Epstein's inner circle were aware of and actively assisted in his contingency planning. Several associates allegedly helped establish the offshore entities, while others were tasked with scouting safe houses in foreign countries. At least two unnamed individuals are said to have traveled abroad on Epstein's behalf to secure properties and negotiate terms with local officials.

One particularly striking detail from the filings: Epstein allegedly maintained a “go bag” containing cash in multiple currencies, prepaid phones, and encrypted hard drives. The bag was reportedly kept in a closet in his New York residence and was inventoried by agents during the raid.

Why the Plan Was Never Executed

Despite the elaborate preparations, Epstein never fled. Some investigators believe he was confident that his legal team and connections would shield him from prosecution, as they had in 2008 when he received a controversial plea deal in Florida. Others speculate that he was simply caught off guard by the speed and decisiveness of the federal operation that led to his arrest at Teterboro Airport upon returning from Paris.

Epstein was found dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center on August 10, 2019. His death was ruled a suicide by the New York City medical examiner, though the circumstances continue to fuel widespread skepticism and calls for further investigation.

Questions That Remain

The revelation of Epstein's escape plan raises as many questions as it answers. Who were the associates that helped him prepare? Where are the offshore funds now? And perhaps most critically, did anyone in a position of authority know about these preparations and fail to act?

As more documents continue to be unsealed, the full scope of Epstein's network and the complicity of those around him may finally come into sharper focus. For the survivors and the public alike, the demand for accountability shows no signs of fading.

This is my best interpretation of Epstein's main escape note, built upon the work of Doctor G. I hope this helps everyone out there to decrypt these last few notes that we haven't been able to understand so we can get the full picture. I will be working on the final Epstein cell notes coming next....
